The SAP Development Manager – Finance is responsible for leading the Barcelona-based SAP FI/CO development team supporting Werfen’s financial accounting, controlling, and finance business processes. This role combines people leadership, SAP functional expertise, and technical solution governance. The manager will oversee day-to-day team operations, delivery execution, resource planning, technical direction, and capability development while supporting Werfen’s long-term SAP modernization and Clean Core journey. The successful candidate must be both functionally strong in SAP FI/CO processes and technically credible in SAP development and architecture. The role requires the ability to guide solution design decisions, challenge unnecessary customizations, and promote scalable, upgrade-friendly SAP solutions aligned with SAP standard capabilities. This is a true management role with accountability for team performance, prioritization, execution discipline, employee development, and operational effectiveness. The ideal candidate has experience working in structured SAP environments with strong governance and standardization practices and has participated in initiatives focused on reducing customization complexity and modernizing SAP solutions.
