Job Description:

The SAP CPI Principal Architect role requires over 10 years of SAP integration experience, with a focus on leading large-scale projects. Candidates should have expertise in SAP Integration Suite and S/4HANA integration, along with strong client interaction skills. The position involves overseeing project delivery, ensuring security compliance, and driving automation practices. A flexible schedule is required to provide global coverage.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee development of iFlows, APIs, and adapters in SAP Integration Suite and ensure optimal configuration, performance tuning, and security compliance
  • Collaborate with functional and technical teams for seamless integration between SAP S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba, and third-party systems
  • Establish integration standards, reusable assets, and governance frameworks
  • Conduct architecture reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise security and compliance policies
  • Drive automation and DevOps practices for integration delivery (CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, etc.)
  • Deal with clients and explain the solution approach and alternatives

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of SAP integration experience
  • At least 5 years as a lead or architect in large-scale integration projects with minimum 3-4 Implementation exposures
  • Experience in Tier-1 organization with direct interaction with Clients
  • Experience in dealing with Clients and Business process teams
  • Extensive hands-on expertise in SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration/CPI, API Management, Event Mesh, Integration Advisor, Trading Partner Management, Open Connector, Integration Assessment, Migration Assessment)
  • Strong background in S/4HANA integration (on-premise and cloud), interface migration, and hybrid-cloud scenarios
  • Strong hands-on in SAP Cloud Integration (CPI): iFlows, adapters, mapping (Graphical/XSLT), Groovy scripting, JMS, IDoc/SOAP/REST/OData
  • Strong hands-on in SAP API Management: API proxies, policies (OAuth, spike arrest, quotas), OpenAPI specs, lifecycle/versioning
  • Deep knowledge of integration methodologies (real-time, asynchronous, event-driven, etc.), modern enterprise architecture, and design patterns
  • Ability to work independently with customers and deliver the project
  • Strong expertise with Groovy scripts, good Troubleshooting knowledge in Mapping and Adapters connectivity issues
  • Must be flexible to work in shifts (non-standard) to provide global coverage to the customer
  • 60-90 days’ notice period required

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge/Hands-on in SAP PI/PO, Dell Boomi, AIF, APIGEE
  • SAP Certification in SAP Integration Suite Developer, SAP BTP Solution Architect
  • Experience in all SAP functional modules
