Job Description

The SAP Business Analyst acts as the primary Subject Matter Expert bridging local retail business needs with functional SAP opportunities (Order to Cash / Procure to Pay). This role focuses on solution design, streamlining operations, and managing external technical partners for feature delivery. This position requires strong experience as an SAP end-user with a solid understanding of retail supply chain processes; SAP consultant-level configuration or implementation expertise is not required.

Job Responsibility

  • Identify opportunities to streamline operations and improve efficiency utilizing SAP best practices
  • Coordinate with global teams and the Integration Team to resolve design and system issues
  • Take ownership of open-ended challenges, driving the development and delivery of SAP features via external partners
  • Provide functional guidance to internal teams and educate/train colleagues as needed

Requirements

  • Bilingual in Japanese and English (business-level fluency in both)
  • Solid experience as an SAP end-user (specifically MM, SD, or FI components)
  • Strong understanding of retail-specific supply chain business processes (Order Management, Logistics, Inventory, Purchasing, Planning, and Master Data)
  • Highly self-motivated, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and possessing excellent documentation and communication skills
  • Hands-on experience with S/4 HANA, along with strong understanding of Retail business processes
  • Strong exper se in SAP MM, including pricing, master data, and integra ons across SAP modules and external systems (customer/vendor onboarding and WMS interfaces)
