The SAP BASIS Team Lead role at NTT DATA involves overseeing SAP S/4HANA and BASIS operations, ensuring optimal performance and client satisfaction. Job Responsibility:
Manage and act on all ticket types for the assigned customer, in a timely fashion
Keep tickets updated at all times
Join customer facing meetings and provide updates
Maintain Technical documentation (e.g., RunBooks)
Plan upcoming work, maintenance activities with customer
Raise awareness to customer about product version availability and propose upgrade as appropriate
Keep customer systems up-to-date with security notes
Provide EWA and Capacity Planning Summary Quarterly
Engage in Annual DR Tests and collaborate
Raise awareness to team, Delivery Manager, and CDM about any work that may be considered Out of Scope
Engage CDM for any additional work that has the potential for revenue growth
Keep Manger informed about the state of customer in regular touchpoints
Make Manager aware of any escalations immediately
Follow appropriate guidelines to engage Incident Management Team in times of P1 issues
Collaborate ideas with colleagues, participate in technical discussions with team to find solutions
Work closely with offshore team on non-ITAR customers by transitioning work whenever possible
When taking time off, ensure coverage by engaging backup TLO and Team Manager to inform them of all ongoing and upcoming activities
Attend team meetings
Assist team members with their growth and training
Support our clients as SAP basis expert with thorough understanding of the latest SAP technology, tools, and architecture
Identify, assesses, and solves complex SAP technology problems
Perform system-wide analysis regarding the allocation of enterprise application technology and performance
Develop analysis of technology architecture design in coordination with designers, architects, developers, and business analysts
Assist in creating and modifying strategies, resolve problems and document issues and resolutions
Ability to communicate technical issues, plans and solutions from both a business perspective and a technical perspective providing pros and cons for recommended solutions
Manages small-medium sized teams and/or work efforts at a client
Provide production support for implemented SAP S/4HANA Solution
Perform HANA and BASIS support on SAP S/4HANA and provide issue resolutions for customer reported problems
Perform testing for solutions delivered by the BASIS teams
Follow approved processes and executes tasks (support and monitoring)
Understanding of functionality and expected solution and resolutions
Interface with software package vendor and other module consultants for issue resolution regarding standard functionality, technical solution
Must possess a broad knowledge of all SAP applications, particularly touchpoints and integrations between different SAP modules and interfaces
Perform root cause analysis, solution identification and implementation and be responsible for solution quality and SLA Adherence for issues handled
Requirements:
Requires +10 years of experience in SAP S/4 HANA and SAP ECC Basis experience
2 SAP implementation full life-cycle experience
Bilingual English/Spanish
Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
Advanced English required
Nice to have:
SAP Activate knowledge, training and/or SAP certification
