The SAP Basis Senior Consultant within the (HST) Healthcare Systems and Technologies segment acts as the SAP ecosystem technical owner managing the core SAP systems, connected apps and the underlying infrastructure. This critical position provides supportable, scalable, reliable, and auditable solutions across the SAP landscape. The SAP Basis Senior Consultant acts as a leader and trusted partner within the team to ensure the environments are optimally architected and fine-tuned.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the strategic initiatives the optimize the SAP environments ensuring optimal system performance with zero downtime, instance strategy aligned to SAP leading practices and proactive systems monitoring for system continuity
Accountable to ensure availability, continuity, integrity, security, and recovery of all SAP components both individually and holistically, ensuring definition and implementation of associated processes
Responsible for lifecycle management of all SAP systems and tightly coupled technologies including establishing practices for application of service packs, version upgrades, preventative, and corrective maintenance through change management process by leading and influencing staff and partners
Leads a team with responsibilities and capabilities in SAP BASIS, providing guidance and expertise in all aspects of SAP administration
Drive operational excellence, provide level III incident and problem management, including resolution and root cause analysis of the most complex SAP Basis and database issues
Accountable to ensure adherence to best practices for monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting of the SAP environment and SAP transport system
Responsible for continually assessing SAP landscape environmental requirements aligned with future application roadmaps, lead build (or decommissioning) of SAP instances
Maintain knowledge of SAP roadmap and emerging technologies impacting SAP Basis, make recommendations to improve efficiency, throughput, capabilities and/or capacity
Responsible for understanding and defining security roles and authorizations required by the BASIS team, ensures appropriate controls and usage of privileged access
Requirements:
15+ years’ experience in a leadership role with Basis administration
Multiple years of demonstrated leadership of complex global implementations
SAP certification/s highly preferred
Wide Experience in S/4HANA, ECC, NetWeaver, BW4/HANA, BW, BPC, BTP, Cloud Connector, Fiori/Gateway (Embedded and Distributed), Solution Manager, Web Dispatcher, Business Objects Platform (Business Intelligence and Data Services), Lumira Platform, SLT
Experience in HANA, MS SQL Server and Oracle
10+ years of Project lead experience that includes at least 3 full S/4 HANA project life cycle in a lead role preferred
Ability to lead and facilitate multi-functional teams in support of critical initiatives within the business organization and IT
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor communications to a wide variety of audiences and interpersonal requirements
Exceptional change management and listening skills, with the ability to develop strong working relationships with multiple team members
Solid focus on delivering customer value through continuous improvement and innovative thinking
Self-starter, with the ability to formulate creative approaches in ambiguous settings
Dedication and ability to foresee problems, identifying risk, and developing plausible solutions
Interpersonal skills with ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines, and deliver on commitments
