  • Overseeing the operational management of the SAP Basis infrastructure, ensuring that SAP systems are optimized for performance, security, and availability
  • Managing periodic maintenance activities, such as system refreshes, patching, upgrades, and installations
  • Monitor and tune system performance and workload to ensure high availability and performance
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues within the SAP environments, such as system outages, performance bottlenecks, or security vulnerabilities
  • Assist/execute with database activities, like health & performance monitoring, Log management, replication and high-availability monitoring
  • Implement and maintain automated processes (e.g., auto-scaling, automated backups, monitoring) to reduce manual intervention and improve efficiency
  • Act as SAP technical consultants accountable for the design and implementation of SAP S/4HANA capabilities
  • Support the development and Architecture that enables increasingly Agile Delivery and Delivery Automation, Continuous Testing and Continuous Deployment (DevOps)
  • Collaborate with Enterprise architects, Solution architects and other infrastructure architects to ensure systems architecture, which will be supporting optimally the enterprise strategic priorities
  • Cost management: Support the operation of systems, ensuring optimum cost management and tracking of Cloud/SaaS costs: licensing, resource use (compute, storage, High Availability)

  • Proven track record supporting and evolving SAP landscapes for medium to large organisations, including hybrid on premise and cloud environments
  • Strong hands on experience as an SAP Basis engineer, including system administration, troubleshooting and landscape management

  • Responsible for the operation, availability, performance, security and integrity of SAP landscapes, including ECC / S/4HANA, NetWeaver, SAP BTP and hybrid integrations

  • Responsible for SAP system installations, upgrades, patches, kernel updates, transports, and system copies across development, test and production environments
