Job Description

We are currently seeking a SAP Basis Consultant to join our team in Hyderabad, Telangana (IN-TG), India (IN). Looking for an SAP S/4HANA Basis Consultant to manage, support, and optimize SAP landscapes with a focus on S/4HANA systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SAP Basis administration, system monitoring, installations, upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning across SAP environments.

Job Responsibility

  • Administer, monitor, and maintain SAP S/4HANA landscapes, including development, quality, and production systems
  • Perform SAP system installation, configuration, refresh, client copy, kernel upgrades, and patch management
  • Manage system start/stop, transport management, spool administration, background jobs, and user administration
  • Support SAP S/4HANA implementation, upgrade, migration, and conversion projects
  • Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and issue resolution to ensure high availability and stability
  • Manage SAP HANA database administration activities in coordination with database teams or independently, where applicable
  • Work on system copies, backups, recovery support, and disaster recovery planning
  • Support SAP Fiori, SAP Gateway, Web Dispatcher, and SAP Cloud Connector administration
  • Maintain security-related Basis activities including roles coordination, SSL certificates, and RFC connections
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, network, database, and application teams for environment support
  • Ensure proper documentation, compliance with operational procedures, and adherence to SAP best practices

Requirements

  • Strong experience in SAP Basis administration
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA systems and landscape support
  • Knowledge of SAP installation, upgrades, patching, transport management, and system refresh activities
  • Familiarity with SAP HANA database administration concepts
  • Experience with SAP Fiori, SAP Gateway, Web Dispatcher, and Cloud Connector
  • Understanding of SAP Solution Manager, monitoring tools, and system performance analysis
  • Experience in Unix/Linux and Windows server environments
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of SAP Basis experience, depending on role level
  • Experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation, migration, or support projects
  • SAP Basis, SAP HANA, or S/4HANA certification is a plus
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP for SAP hosting is an advantage

  • Provide SAP BASIS support and perform system maintenance, etc system health checks, daily monitoring of system performance & tuning, system installation, upgrades, patching, SAP Note check & implementation, assess security-related updates and the perform relevant patching, client copies/system refreshes, transport management, and user administration
  • Participate in full cycle end to end greenfield and rollout implementation of SAP BASIS (if any)
  • Constantly improve SAP BASIS via change request or continuous enhancement projects
  • Ensure SAP BASIS always at optimal performance etc handling security and authorization, job administration, connection issues, and troubleshooting Basis-related issues
