Job Description:

The SAP ABAP Technical Lead will oversee SAP development projects, leading teams and ensuring successful implementation of SAP solutions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Exhibit ability to mentor less experienced team members at Onsite/ Nearshore/ Offshore
  • Develop and implement ABAP programming across different areas of SAP
  • Should be able to work on requirement gathering, GAP analysis, and Technical spec preparation
  • Should have sound knowledge and experience in SCM, OTC, and FI-CO area and basic functional knowledge in respective modules
  • Ability to lead architectural design discussions, present prototyping ideas to audiences of all sizes, and interact with client management and users from multiple countries
  • Good in analytical experience and understanding internal IT processes
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment under tight deadlines and able to prioritize work to meet the project deadlines
  • Should be very strong in communication, presentation, and consulting skills

Requirements:

  • Minimum 15 years of SAP development experience in ABAP custom programming across different areas (i.e. FMs, Interfaces, data migration, forms, screen painter, BADI and User-Exits etc.)
  • Minimum 10 years of development lead experience in medium to large sized customer projects implementing SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA (on-premise or on-cloud) or BSoH projects
  • Develop and implement ABAP programming across different areas of on-premise SAP S/4HANA 1809/ 1909
  • Prior experience working on SAP Support engagements in Manufacturing or Automotive industry would be highly preferred
  • Should be able to work on requirement gathering, GAP analysis, and Technical specification preparation
  • Should have sound knowledge and experience in SCM, P2P, OTC, and FICO area and basic functional knowledge in respective modules
  • Ability to lead discussions, present ideas to audiences of all sizes, and interact with client management and users from multiple countries
  • Good analytical experience and understanding of internal IT processes
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment under tight deadlines and able to prioritize work to meet the project deadlines
  • Should be very strong in communication, presentation, and consulting skills
  • Candidate should have hands-on experience in leading development teams comprising of SAP ABAP, EDI, Workflow, SAP Middleware (PI/PO) resources
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology is required

Nice to have:

  • Working in a global environment and a chemical industry client experience is a plus
  • Knowledge on latest SAP application solution capabilities would be helpful in engaging with the customers on possible new areas of work
  • Working in a globally demanding environment in a vibrant client experience is a plus
