A leading plastics manufacturing organization is seeking a motivated SAP ABAP Developer to join its IT team and help shape the future of its digital landscape. The Opportunity In this role, the successful candidate won’t just write code; they will be an integral part of a major digital transformation. The position involves supporting and enhancing the current SAP ECC environment while simultaneously gearing up for a high-impact SAP S/4HANA migration project planned within the year. This is a prime opportunity for a junior professional to gain hands-on experience with both established systems and next-generation SAP technology. This role is full-time, permanent and based in the eastern suburbs.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop & Maintain: Create and support programs using SAP ABAP to meet business needs
  • Innovate: Develop reports (ALV), forms, and system enhancements
  • Collaborate: Work alongside internal SAP specialists and external consultants across key modules such as MM, PP, QM, WM, and SD
  • Analyze & Solve: Translate technical requirements into efficient ABAP solutions
  • Quality Assurance: Perform unit and integration testing to ensure system reliability
  • Document: Create and maintain clear technical documentation for all developed solutions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Basic knowledge of SAP ABAP programming and an understanding of SAP system architecture
  • Fundamental knowledge of MM, PP, or SD modules
  • Basic experience with debugging and user exits/enhancements
  • Good command of both written and spoken English

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA concepts
  • Basic knowledge of CDS Views, AMDP, or OData
  • Exposure to SAP integrations such as IDocs or RFCs
  • Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams
