Sanitation Technician

• Perform daily and in-depth cleaning of all machinery, equipment and building structure
• Dismantle production equipment and associated equipment in preparation for cleaning and sanitizing
• Scrape, wash and sanitize conveyor belts and other product handling equipment
• Clean and sanitize equipment using proper cleaner/sanitizer dilutions
• Clean rest rooms, locker rooms, cafeteria/break room, offices, trash dock, stairs, and platforms
• Brush off or vacuum framework, motors, electrical boxes, and pipes
• Clean service equipment and plant storage facilities
• Sweep, dust, and wash floors
• Push/pull wheeled machine parts to washroom
• Dump waste bins into compactor
• Operate overhead hoists, and self-propelled aerial work platforms
• Use hand tools and power tools
• Communicate with co-workers and supervisors
• Neatly and accurately fill out all necessary documentation (Ex. MSS, SSOP, HACCP, ETC.)
• Follow oral and written directions and instructions
• Maintain a safe, neat, and clean work area environment in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Housekeeping Practices (GHP's)

• HS Diploma required
• Ability to dismantle, scrape, clean, and reassemble machinery
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights up to 65' off the floor
• Ability to follow JSA guidelines, plant rules and regulations and safety guidelines
• Must adhere to all GMP and Food Safety Policies and Practices
• Ability to stand or walk on concrete floors continuously
• Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver objects weighing 2lbs. - 20lbs. frequently
• Ability to grasp and handle with one or both hands continuously
• Ability to visualize continuously
