Job Responsibility:
Disassemble equipment as necessary to properly clean
Use water, chemicals and scrub pads to clean equipment to a level acceptable to USDA and Perdue QA
Must be able to help wipe down condensation in your area after completing your cleaning process
Must be trained and able to use Lock out / Tag out procedures
Wear all necessary safety equipment such as steel-toed boots, bump cap, safety glasses/goggles, rain suits and ear plugs
Must be able to help assemble some equipment in certain areas for production startup
Follow all reasonable requests by supervisor
Other Duties as assigned by supervisor, including working with other departments as needed
Requirements:
Minimum of 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer within the past 3 years in a comparable field
Ability to tolerate exposure to wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces
Ability to stand for an extended period and perform repetitive tasks
Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs by reaching, bending, and pushing boxes
Must be able to work in temperatures not to exceed 60 degrees
Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and ear protection as required
May work in an environment with varying temperatures between 28 degrees and100 degrees Fahrenheit
May handle products varying in temperatures between 25 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit
May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db
Must be able to work with corrosive chemicals
May be exposed to dust, feathers and all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility
Wet Environment - rain suits required
Nice to have:
High School or equivalent is beneficial but not required
Experience in a poultry processing/manufacturing environment
