Job Description:

Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production equipment, tools and surfaces according to protocols and general building cleaning.

Job Responsibility:

  • Clean and sanitize production equipment, tools, and surfaces following established protocols to ensure food safety and compliance with health regulations
  • Utilize appropriate cleaning agents and techniques to effectively remove residues and contaminants
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in common areas, offices, restrooms, and other facility spaces
  • Empty and dispose of trash and recycling materials in a timely manner
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
  • Adhere to hygiene standards and procedures to ensure a safe environment for food production
  • Assist with the implementation and enforcement of company sanitation policies and procedures
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a sanitation or cleaning role, preferably within a food manufacturing or similar industrial setting is an asset
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper usage, and safety procedures
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working with raw meat products (beef, pork, chicken)
  • Ability to stand and perform repetitive work for extended periods of time
  • Comfortable with assisting other departments as necessary
