Step into a high-precision manufacturing environment where your craftsmanship provides the ultimate line of defense for heavy industrial equipment. We are looking for skilled coatings experts who take pride in delivering flawless, high-performance finishes that withstand the toughest elements. If you want a role that rewards your technical expertise with top-tier pay, premium shifts, and consistent overtime, your booth is ready.

Job Responsibility

  • Execute High-Performance Coating: Apply industrial-grade paints, primers, and specialized coatings to a variety of heavy machinery and metal components with absolute precision
  • Master Surface Preparation: Prep, blast, and clean industrial surfaces meticulously to guarantee maximum paint adhesion and a flawless finish
  • Maintain Quality Control: Inspect finished products systematically to detect and correct runs, sags, or uneven thickness, ensuring all components meet strict industrial specs
  • Command Specialized Equipment: Safely operate and maintain conventional, airless, and plural-component spray systems, alongside sandblasting gear and curing ovens
  • Uphold Safety Protocols: Work strictly within safety guidelines, utilizing proper ventilation, respiratory equipment, and PPE in compliance with industrial paint standards
  • Mix and apply specialized high-solids, epoxy, and polyurethane systems (PPG, Endura, & Hempel) following strict induction times and ratios
  • Execute high-quality metallic finishes (ensuring even distribution) and professional two-tone paint jobs with precise masking
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot high-pressure pot systems
  • perform full teardowns and maintenance on spray guns and pumps
  • Utilize gauges to verify Dry Film Thickness (DFT) to ensure applications meet manufacturer-spec micron depths
  • Proactively manage booth health, including monitoring and changing filters to ensure optimal airflow and safety

Requirements

  • Comprehensive background in industrial painting with high-performance coatings
  • Mastery of pressure pot systems, tip selection, and material viscosity
  • Must be able to do a respirator fit test on Day 1 (requires being clean-shaven)
  • Must own CSA-approved safety boots that cover the ankle
  • Valid Forklift, Overhead Crane, and Rigging certifications are highly beneficial
  • Experience with sandblasting is considered a strong asset
  • A "hit the ground running" attitude, the ability to anticipate challenges, and a commitment to doing the job right the first time
  • The Coatings Expert: You bring proven, hands-on experience as an Industrial Painter or Coater working with heavy-duty machinery, structural steel, or manufactured components
  • The Technical Master: You possess a deep understanding of mixing ratios, mil thickness gauges, drying times, and the distinct properties of industrial epoxies and urethanes
  • The Resilient Artisan: You have the physical stamina required to lift equipment, handle spray guns for extended periods, and work comfortably inside modern spray booths
  • The Commuter: You have a reliable vehicle and personal transportation to ensure dependable attendance, as local public transit to the facility is limited
  • The Flexible Team Member: You can commit to one of our core schedules and are open to picking up high-volume overtime

Nice to have

  • Valid Forklift, Overhead Crane, and Rigging certifications
  • Experience with sandblasting

What we offer

  • Full-time position for the right candidate
  • Strong hourly rates with a shift premium for afternoons and consistent overtime opportunities
  • We provide a boot voucher, safety glasses, paint suits, and coveralls
  • The afternoon shift offers a 3-day weekend every week
