Job Description:

We are looking for a Sample Manager for a top apparel company out of their NYC offices! The ideal candidate will implement strategic sample handling procedures, optimize physical storage, and manage Accenture’s on-site coordination team to ensure consistency, efficiency, and global readiness.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the intake, tagging, organization, and flow of merchandise samples for photography across GTM, Prana, and PDP programs, ensuring consistent readiness for global digital content production needs
  • Establish and maintain a robust, scalable inventory system within the Brooklyn studio that supports both high-volume daily usage and long-term sample storage across current, past, and future seasons
  • Partner with the Accenture Song studio team and global producers to validate sample requirements and ensure timely transitions through the photography lifecycle—including delivery, photography prep, and post-production handling
  • Coordinate with stylists, FO, and merchandising teams to determine samples that should be retained, stored, or transferred to other channels (e.g., Sample Sale) following photography completion
  • Direct and manage the Accenture on-site sample coordination team to ensure performance standards are met, daily operations are maintained, and global merchandising priorities are supported
  • Partner with the facilities team to assess and refine physical space allocations, creating clearly labeled, logically organized, and easily accessible zones for all merchandise categories
  • Lead the implementation of formal merchandise tracking tools and sample management systems that support cross-functional visibility and reduce sample loss or inefficiencies

Requirements:

  • Strong expertise in merchandise and sample inventory management, ideally across global teams or production studios
  • Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office, G Suite, SharePoint, Creative Force, Asana, and DAM systems
  • Experience working in or with high-volume photo studios and production environments
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with proven ability to manage third-party teams and align with multiple departments
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a structured, process-driven mindset
  • Knowledge of photography production workflows, including coordination with merchandising, styling, creative, and logistics teams

Nice to have:

  • 7+ years of experience in production operations
  • 3-4 years of experience with sample management at a photo studio
  • Background in fashion, retail, or e-commerce content production
  • Experience supporting global studio operations or multi-region merchandise workflows is a plus
