Job Responsibility

Performs all the different aspects of shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and logging samples
Duties include opening coolers and inspecting contents of shipments, checking documentation to ensure contents of cooler are accurately listed, distributing sample containers to appropriate storage locations, entering the information into a laboratory information management system (LIMS) and organizing spent samples for disposal
The position requires strict adherence to standard operating procedures, health and safety policies and practices, and quality control requirements
Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment including, but not limited to, eye safety glasses, gloves, and other personal protective equipment

Prepare, condition, and handle material samples prior to testing
