The Salesperson / Project Technician is a hybrid role combining client-facing sales responsibilities with hands-on project coordination. This position is ideal for a motivated individual who thrives in both relationship-building and technical problem-solving. You will be responsible for generating new business, managing client accounts, and ensuring projects are executed to the highest standards.
Job Responsibility:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Central Virginia region
Conduct site visits and prepare accurate estimates for paving projects
Develop and maintain strong relationships with residential, commercial, and municipal clients
Prepare and present proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals
Serve as the primary point of contact between clients and the operations team
Assist in scheduling, planning, and overseeing project execution
Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality specifications
Monitor project progress and resolve issues promptly
Requirements:
Proven experience in sales, preferably in construction, paving, or related industries
Strong technical understanding of paving processes, materials, and equipment (training provided if needed)
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to read and interpret site plans and specifications
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Nice to have:
Experience with estimating software and CRM tools
Knowledge of local regulations and permitting processes
Strong organizational and time-management abilities
