Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher
8+ years' experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager or Business Analyst with a min 5 years of experience in an agile environment
Strong understanding of Scrum, Lean, XP, Kanban and other agile development frameworks
Proven experience managing design and delivery of highly technical and complex large-scale products
Sound knowledge of emerging technologies focusing on cloud products, SaaS platforms, or Enterprise Applications
Strong product management skills with deep understanding of product vision and overall product lifecycle
Demonstrated leadership and people management skills and ability to make decisions and set clear priorities
Proven ability to recognize value and manage investments to maximize value delivered
Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills

Job Responsibility

Owns people management responsibilities for 2–6 business analysts
Owns the development and delivery of one or multiple high complexity software product(s) in line with business needs
Owns and drives key business relationships for the product(s)
Researches and analyzes industry trends and benchmarking information as they apply to product(s)
Creates & maintains an executable backlog of product requirements
Understands, defines, and communicates prioritization of product requirements with a mind toward business value and tradeoffs
Assists with the distillation of product backlog requirements into user stories
Participates actively in daily stand-ups, sprint planning meetings, sprint reviews and retrospectives to drive team alignment on product vision and value delivery
Weighs business risks, issues, and impediments being experienced by the product team and actively assists with issue resolution
Inspects product progress throughout the sprint and is empowered to make critical decisions and accept work completed by the team

Bachelor's degree or its foreign equivalent in Computer Science, CIS, MIS, Business, or related field
Participate and/or conduct discovery sessions for small to large-scale process improvement projects to identify opportunities for Automation
Partner with Process Improvement analysts to design TO-BE process flow using Lean Six Sigma principles
Develop and maintain the backlog, write user stories with completion criteria, create testing plans, and maintain the ongoing Automation related initiatives for a defined value stream
Partner with the business area subject matter experts, technical automation teams, solution architect and Product Manager to develop a deep end-to-end understanding of end-to-end design, build, and deployment of Appian application into production
Engage with cross-functional teams to develop business requirements in user stories, detailed acceptance criteria, test cases, and deployment plans

Apply Agile processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high-quality standards, and meet stated objectives
Mentor junior team members to integrate them into the team with the objective of a high-performing, self-sustaining team
