The Opportunity: As a Presales Solution Architect – Salesforce, you’ll act as the technical seller and trusted advisor in strategic enterprise engagements across Salesforce’s ecosystem — including Sales, Service, Marketing, Experience, and Data Clouds. You’ll partner closely with Horizontal’s sales and delivery teams to lead pre-sales, define cross-cloud architectures, and translate business objectives into scalable Salesforce solutions that drive measurable outcomes. You’ll balance 50% sales and strategy with 50% technical delivery oversight, owning and co-ordinating the full solution lifecycle from pre-sale to client success.
Job Responsibility:
Lead solution design during new business pursuits
Translate complex business challenges into cross-cloud Salesforce solutions
Conduct discovery and architecture workshops with C-level and senior stakeholders
Craft technical solution narratives and visual architectures for RFPs and client presentations
Articulate Horizontal Digital's Salesforce capabilities through demos, proposals, and proof-of-concepts
Support go-to-market campaigns and practice growth
Serve as a bridge between pre-sales and delivery
Collaborate with Technical Architects, Data Architects, and Integration teams
Guide clients through best practices
Requirements:
7+ years of client-facing consulting and/or pre-sales experience in the Salesforce ecosystem
Proven track record in solutioning and selling multi-cloud Salesforce transformations (Marketing Cloud, Sales/Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Data Cloud, CRM Analytics, etc.)
Strong business acumen with the ability to engage C-level executives in outcome-driven discussions
Salesforce certifications across Sales, Service, or Marketing Cloud (Consultant or Architect level preferred)
Strong communication skills
Entrepreneurial mindset
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
