Job Description

We are looking for a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer to deliver large and complex Marketing Cloud Engagement implementations within enterprise-grade digital transformation projects.

Job Responsibility

  • Build & configuration: Develop and configure SFMC components: Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Mobile Studio, Cloud Pages and Content Builder
  • Build responsive, accessible and performant email templates using HTML, CSS and AMPscript
  • Implement complex customer journeys and decision splits aligned with CRM use cases and brand guidelines
  • Configure Data Extensions, Sendable Data Extensions, filters and queries (SQL) to support segmentation and personalisation
  • Develop and maintain SSJS / Server-Side JavaScript scripts for advanced logic and integrations
  • Integration & data activation: Integrate SFMC with Treasure Data (CDP) for audience activation, suppression and personalisation
  • Implement and maintain APIs (REST / SOAP) and connectors with adjacent platforms (datalake, CI&D, SSO, third-party media)
  • Support the E2E Data Expert in monitoring data flow quality, troubleshooting integration issues and ensuring data consistency
  • Contribute to the design of reusable assets, templates and components in line with Petcare global standards
  • Quality & operations: Apply Valtech and Petcare development best practices: version control, code reviews, peer testing and documentation
  • Collaborate with the QA on test strategies, defect resolution and pre-production validation
  • Support deployments, release management and post-go-live hypercare
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives: performance optimisation, deliverability, accessibility and compliance (GDPR, consent management)

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience as an SFMC Developer on enterprise-scale programs
  • Strong command of AMPscript, SSJS, SQL, HTML, CSS and JavaScript in the SFMC context
  • Proven experience with Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio and Mobile Studio
  • Experience integrating SFMC with CDPs (Treasure Data preferred), CRMs (Salesforce Sales / Service Cloud) and APIs
  • Understanding of CRM and marketing automation principles: segmentation, personalisation, lifecycle marketing, deliverability
  • Familiarity with consent management, data privacy (GDPR) and email best practices
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Detail-oriented, with a strong quality and ownership mindset
  • Collaborative team player, able to work in an agile / Scrum setup with cross-functional peers
  • Solution-oriented, comfortable troubleshooting complex data and integration issues
  • Eager to learn, with curiosity for evolving martech and AI-driven personalisation use cases
