The role of Data Integration Engineer works within the Mission and Mission in Action of HammondCare and is responsible for managing complex integration projects and ensuring seamless data flow between Salesforce and other systems.
Job Responsibility:
Design, develop, and maintain integration solutions between Salesforce and other systems using tools like MuleSoft composer, Data Cloud and APIs
Manage and perform large- and small-scale data migration projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and optimal performance
Develop and maintain APIs (REST/SOAP) for real-time and batch data exchange working in collaboration with the other HammondCare technology teams
Explore how best to leverage Salesforce Data Cloud to unify and activate organisational data for real-time insights and integrations
Collaborate and work with members of the platform team to carry out development, supporting and mentoring more junior members of the team
Collaborate with data and analytic teams to ensure smooth data ingestion, transformation, and visualization of Salesforce data in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI
Monitor and troubleshoot integration and data issues to maintain operational efficiency
Ensure all solutions align with security, compliance, and data governance requirements
Provide technical documentation, testing, and training for integrations and data workflows
Stay up to date with emerging tools and technologies in Salesforce, data cloud solutions, and analytics platforms
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or equivalent experience
4+ years in integration or data specialist roles involving Salesforce and other enterprise systems
Certified Salesforce Developer with a deep understanding of the Salesforce data model, experience with migration tools (Data Loader, Workbench etc), proficiency in SOQL and familiarity with Salesforce APIs (REST and SOAP)
Hands-on experience with MuleSoft, API development, and Salesforce Data Cloud
Proven expertise in integrating Salesforce with analytics tools such as Power BI and data lakes like Microsoft Fabric
Proven experience in planning, executing, and validating large-scale data migrations
Understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and experience with tools (eg. Knime, Alteryx etc)
Ability to analyze and manipulate data in various database formats (e.g., CSV, Excel, SQL, SOQL)
Strong planning and organising skills with the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and adaptability skills
Nice to have:
Experience in the Aged Care and/or Health Sector and familiarity with non-profit organisations
Familiarity with business process documentation, technical documentation and solution design
Additional coding, development, data and programming capabilities
Experience working in Agile CI/CD, as part of a larger development team
