Job Description

Our client, a luxury goods retailer located in northern NJ, is looking to hire an experienced and motivated Salesforce Core Developer for a full-time remote role. The developer will work on the design, development, and implementation of robust, scalable future state system design across the client’s core Salesforce platform. The position requires a strong blend of programming expertise, dedication to data integrity, and the ability to translate business requirements into desired Salesforce solutions.

Job Responsibility

  • Work on the design, development, and implementation of robust, scalable future state system design across the client’s core Salesforce platform
  • Translate business requirements into desired Salesforce solutions
  • Design, development, testing, and deployment of custom solutions using Apex (Classes, Triggers, Batch Apex, Queueable Apex), Visualforce, and the Lightning Component Framework (LWC and/or Aura)
  • Implement complex business processes using declarative tools such as Flow, Process Builder (or Flow Migrations), and Workflow Rules, knowing when to choose between low-code and code-based solutions
  • Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, and middleware tools such as Mulesoft
  • Write and execute comprehensive unit, integration, and user acceptance test plans to ensure code quality and system reliability

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on, professional development experience on the Salesforce Platform
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I
  • Proven proficiency in Apex programming (triggers, classes, controllers) with a strong emphasis on scalable and bulkified code
  • Expertise in Lightning Web Components (LWC) and/or Aura Components for building modern, responsive user interfaces
  • Solid understanding of the Salesforce data model, security model, and declarative automation tools (Flow)
  • Experience with Salesforce integration patterns and technologies, including REST/SOAP APIs
  • Proficiency with SOQL and SOSL for efficient data retrieval and manipulation
  • Experience with version control systems, particularly Github, and CI/CD/DevOps methodologies
  • Must be ok with occasional in office work for meetings and collaboration (a few days per month)

Nice to have

  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II
  • Additional certifications such as Certified Administrator, Application Architect, or Data Architect are a plus
  • Experience with specific clouds (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, or Industry Clouds like Financial Services Cloud, Health Cloud)
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and general web development technologies
