We’re looking for an experienced Sales Valuer to join our award-winning team at Charles David Casson. As a Sales Valuer, you’ll be the first face many clients see—setting the tone for their entire moving experience. You’ll combine market knowledge, sharp negotiation skills, and a genuine passion for helping people to secure instructions and deliver honest, accurate valuations.
Job Responsibility:
Carry out market appraisals for homeowners, providing clear, evidence-based valuations
Win new instructions by building rapport, demonstrating expertise, and showing sellers what sets us apart
Advise clients on pricing, marketing, and how to achieve the best sale in today’s market
Pro-actively go and get instructions
Be a trusted advisor from day one—guiding sellers through their options and supporting them at every step
Maintain regular contact, keeping clients updated and confident in their decisions
Represent the CDC brand with professionalism and warmth
Work with our team to launch properties to market—ensuring every home gets the attention it deserves
Help craft compelling property listings and marketing strategies
Support the sales team with negotiation expertise when needed
Handle objections and queries with confidence, always aiming for the best outcome for our clients
Keep records and systems up to date with valuation notes, client details, and market data
Ensure all valuations and instructions meet legal and company standards
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in estate agency valuations (essential)
Full UK driving licence and use of your own car (essential)
Outstanding communication and presentation skills
Proven ability to win business and build long-term relationships
Strong knowledge of the Chelmsford/Essex property market
Organised, proactive, and confident under pressure
