We are looking for a detail-oriented Sales Tax Accountant to support tax compliance activities for a long-term contract opportunity in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role focuses on preparing and reviewing multi-state sales tax filings while helping maintain accurate records and timely submissions. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of indirect tax processes and can work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare and file sales tax returns for multiple jurisdictions with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness
  • Review transaction data and supporting documentation to ensure proper tax treatment and complete reporting
  • Reconcile sales tax accounts and investigate discrepancies to resolve filing or payment issues
  • Maintain organized tax records and documentation to support compliance activities and audit readiness
  • Partner with internal teams to gather required financial information and clarify tax-related questions
