This is an in-office role with a starting salary of $50K - $60K plus commission structure and includes a full benefits package. Job Responsibility:
Manage and grow a defined portfolio of institutional customer accounts, building strong, long-term relationships through proactive communication and trusted service
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, handling inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a consistently high-quality customer experience
Enter and manage inbound customer orders and outbound invoices with a high degree of accuracy through email, phone, fax, and customer portals
Proactively conduct outbound outreach to maintain engagement, promote new products, identify changing customer needs, and strengthen account relationships
Resolve order discrepancies, returns, and errors efficiently while maintaining customer satisfaction and confidence
Develop in-depth knowledge of the company’s product portfolio to confidently recommend solutions tailored to customer needs
Navigate and support varying state agency and institutional purchasing structures, requirements, and processes
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely order fulfillment, accurate documentation, and continuous service improvement
Requirements:
Account management philosophy – skill to develop and maintain relationships
Willingness to learn a new industry with an institutional and local/state/fed client base
Happy being part of a small company – approximately 20 employees – with a role that may require occasional overtime during all hands-on deck moments
High level attention to detail with a focus on high-impact accounts customer service
