Sales Support Associate

• Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads
• Regularly travels throughout assigned territory with outside Sales Representative to call on customers
• Displays or demonstrates product
• Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts
• Estimates date of delivery to customer
• Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts
• Tracks stock levels
• Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database
• Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries
• Attends trade shows

• One year certificate from college or technical school
• three to six months related selling experience and/or training
• or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Prior building materials industry experience preferred
• Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
• Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations
• Ability to focus on solving conflict
• Ability to succeed in a sales environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to succeed in a team environment
• Knowledge and understanding of market and competition
