Job Description:

Sales Specialists & Consultants are responsible for leading pursuits in their assigned focus areas, collaborating with account managers, driving proactive campaigns, prospecting, qualifying, negotiating, and closing opportunities. This includes managing pipelines, building client relationships, and providing expertise to grow accounts and drive renewals. The role blends technical sales acumen with consultative approaches, focusing on client business needs.

Job Responsibility:

  • Seek out new opportunities and expand existing opportunities
  • build and manage the pipeline in specialty area
  • maintain knowledge of competitors
  • develop pursuit plans
  • establish professional and consultative relationships with clients
  • contribute to proposal development, negotiations and deal closings
  • provide technical expertise and support in client engagements
  • focus on growing contractual renewals for mid-size accounts
  • interface with internal and external experts to anticipate customer needs and facilitate solutions development
  • build sales readiness
  • reduce client learning curve through knowledge transfer.

Requirements:

  • University or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • directly related previous work experience
  • demonstrated success in achieving progressively higher quota
  • extensive vertical industry knowledge required
  • typically 5-8 years advanced sales experience required
  • deep knowledge of products, solution or service offerings as well as competitor’s offerings
  • negotiating and driving deals to ensure successful closes
  • broad understanding of customer needs
  • client engagement skills
  • leadership and initiative in driving specialty sales
  • uses specialty knowledge to actively prospect within accounts
  • ability to take a deal through the sales cycle
  • understanding of services as part of strategic product sales
  • knowledge of industry trends and associated solutions
  • good prioritization and delegation skills.
