Job Description:

Sales Specialist role focused on storage products and solutions at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. This hybrid position requires working 2 days per week from HPE office. The role involves leading pursuit in assigned focus areas, collaborating with account managers, driving proactive campaigns to build pipeline, and using specialized knowledge to prospect, qualify, negotiate and close opportunities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for sales of storage products and solutions in assigned territory, industry or accounts
  • Create and drive the storage sales pipeline
  • Capture leads outside of specialization
  • Collaborate with account pursuit teams for business development
  • Build sales readiness through effective knowledge transfer
  • Contribute to development of quota objectives
  • Direct and coordinate supporting sales activities
  • Collaborate across HPE teams to deliver consistent approach
  • Assess solution feasibility from technical and business perspective
  • Negotiate and drive profitable deals
  • Establish professional consultative relationships with clients up to C-level
  • Leverage knowledge of competitors and industry trends
  • Focus on channel relationships and co-selling
  • Lead storage marketing campaigns
  • Act as trusted storage solutions consultant
  • Reinforce HPE's strategy and portfolio
  • Generate customer interest and anticipate buying trends
  • Cultivate and maintain positive customer relationships
  • Support deal closure with internal stakeholders

Requirements:

  • University or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Demonstrated achievement of progressively higher quota, interface with diverse business customers at all levels
  • Typically 6-10+ years of sales experience
  • Experience in storage sales, typically 2-3+ years
  • Extensive vertical industry knowledge required
  • Project management experience required
  • Advanced knowledge of storage, cloud, solution or service offerings as well as competitor's offerings
  • Understanding of industry trends and key partner/ISV solutions
  • Expertise in mapping partner skills to storage opportunities
  • Advanced financial acumen
  • Understanding of program/project management methods
