Job Description

Data Services and the underlying Storage Solution are a key investment area for HPE. Over the past years we have invested significantly into R&D and acquisitions for new technologies enabling a software-driven, cloud-operated portfolio based on modern cloud-native platforms and integrated cloud-enabled Data Services. Our portfolio doesn't stop in the Data Center but provide hybrid solution that span from Edge-to-Cloud. We are currently looking for a Storage Sales Specialist for our Data Services Team Switzerland, based in Zurich. All integrated with HPE's Compute, Networking and Workload solution via the unique HPE GreenLake Cloud Platform. And the journey has only started with more innovation to come. To bring these benefits to even more customers, we are expanding our Storage salesforce in Switzerland. We are looking for dynamic technology sellers with a hunter mindset and a winning attitude.

Job Responsibility

  • Daily engage with existing and new customers, on your own but often in close collaboration with HPE's channel partners and supported by technical solution architects
  • Leverage HPEs marketing engine and work with channel partners to identify new target accounts and build initiatives to open new customers for HPE Storage Solutions
  • Build and manage a well-founded, long-term pipeline in order to increase the HPE market share in the German market
  • Challenge customers status quo focusing on the business outcomes to position HPE's Storage and Data Services solution portfolio as an element of their hybrid cloud and digitization strategy
  • Gain deep understanding of the end customer's business drivers in order to implement customer requirements in sustainable HPE business via a comprehensive consulting approach at all levels of the customer
  • Foster and expand existing and develop new relationships with technical stakeholders at customers and channel partners to gain share of mind and expand HPE's footprint
  • Lead projects over the entire lifecycle from initial contact, PoCs, preparation and response to tenders, negotiations to the conclusion of the contract as a lead

Requirements

  • Academic degree in business administration or similar
  • +10 years of sales experience with complex IT solutions, especially storage
  • Very good knowledge of the Storage & Data Services market including experience in special topics like Backup & Recovery, File/Object, and modern hybrid Cloud approach
  • Reliability in building a sales pipeline, forecasting and customer management (sales excellence) of enterprise and public accounts
  • Distinctive customer orientation and consulting skills combined with assertiveness, mentality to challenge a customer's status quo
  • Excellent business and financial acumen, combined with very expert technology skills
  • Team and goal-oriented work
  • Creativity, initiative, and reliability
  • Negotiation security
  • Excellent communication, presentation and closing skills
  • Business fluency in German and English language
