Sales Representative

• Quote and sell insurance products to new and current customers
• Advise customers on appropriate insurance coverage and options relative to their needs, explaining coverages and payment options as needed
• Take payments for insurance policies
• Provide customer service to in an in-person environment, as well as over the phone
• Services existing customer policies including policy changes when customer service is not available
• Perform local marketing in and around the Hammond area to increase business
• Maintain the storefront, opening and closing location daily
• Other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
• 1 year of related work experience
• Bilingual in both Spanish and English is highly preferred
• Possess a thorough understanding of company guidelines with the ability to communicate guidelines to customers and employees
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft office applications
• Organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task with speed and accuracy
• Have the ability to obtain and maintain a Property & Casualty producer's license

Bilingual in both Spanish and English is highly preferred
