Aurizon’s expanding Containerised Freight business is looking for a driven Sales Representative to help more customers move their freight by rail. This is your chance to join a national industry leader and play a critical role in growing our intermodal customer base.
Job Responsibility:
Grow a portfolio of customers using Aurizon’s rail‑based containerised freight services
Identify and develop new business opportunities across Australia
Engage customers to deeply understand their transport requirements and provide tailored rail‑freight solutions
Build strong and lasting relationships with existing clients
Generate leads through cold outreach, referrals, networking and industry contacts
Maintain accurate customer data and sales activity records through CRM discipline
Work collaboratively with internal teams to prepare bids, proposals and pricing
Stay across market trends, competitor activity and customer movements
Requirements:
12+ months’ experience in transport, logistics, freight forwarding or similar (road, rail, containerised, or warehousing) – Preferred
Confidence working with customers discussing commercial terms and operational requirements
Strong communication skills and the ability to influence and build rapport quickly
A proactive mindset, natural curiosity, and motivation to deliver growth
Drive to learn the rail freight sector — full commercial training provided
