We are looking for a dynamic Sales Representative to join our team and introduce clients in New York City to our world of texture, pattern, and design. This is an outside sales role focused on building relationships within the design community and developing a strong territory presence, all while helping bring extraordinary spaces to life. You will serve as the face of Phillip Jeffries to designers and partners, reporting to our Showroom Manager and supported by a team that values creativity, relationships, and attention to detail. When not meeting with clients in the field, this role will be based out of our New York City showroom.
Job Responsibility:
Serve as a trusted ambassador of Phillip Jeffries, driving outside sales efforts and growing the Residential business across the NYC territory
Foster meaningful connections with clients, guiding them through our curated collections
Deliver elevated product presentations
Educate clients on the artistry and innovation behind materials
Ensure libraries and sample tools are beautifully maintained
Provide thoughtful follow-ups on project inquiries, samples, quotes, and orders
Exceed sales goals through strategic outreach and authentic engagement
Expand our community by seeking new business prospects
Represent Phillip Jeffries at industry events
Leverage social media to connect and influence
Maintain a thoughtful rhythm of client contact through reports and notes
Partner with support team to monitor territory’s order pipeline
Keep CRM systems accurate
Coordinate weekly meetings with sales support partner
Provide account insights for direct marketing efforts
Requirements:
You’re based in the New York City area
4+ years of experience in outside sales, interior design, or a related field
Willingness to travel for tradeshows, events, and brand moments
Comfortable navigating ERP and CRM systems
Equipped to work from a home office
Have dependable transportation with space to carry sales materials and samples
Deliver exceptional customer service
Positive, upbeat attitude
Social media savvy
Collaborative team player
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Confident and clear communication skills
Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite
Bachelor’s degree preferred
