Our client in the insurance space, is seeking a Permanent, Full-Time Sales Representative to join their team in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador. Job Responsibility:
Act as the primary advisor for ongoing client needs, conducting thorough needs assessments, and providing expert recommendations on personal insurance solutions (e.g., home, auto)
Actively sell new insurance policies (writing new business) and diligently work to retain the existing book of client business through renewal processes and proactive communication (retention calls)
Prepare all necessary documentation for insurance carriers, accurately complete client applications, process policy changes, and issue insurance certificates
Communicate effectively with Underwriters and Adjusters to discuss policy guidelines, manage workflow, and stay current on underwriting rules
Actively participate in training initiatives to maintain expertise and stay up-to-date with industry knowledge
Requirements:
Completion of a High School Diploma is required
post-secondary education is considered a plus
Must possess a valid insurance license for Newfoundland and Labrador OR demonstrate a strong commitment to promptly obtaining one
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is necessary
Outstanding customer service skills with proven ability in conflict resolution
Exceptional organizational and analytical abilities to manage competing priorities successfully
Strong team orientation and a capacity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to have:
