Job Description

Catawiki is hiring a Sales Representative to actively win, negotiate and grow strategic art sellers across the DACH region, with a focus on Germany. In this role, you lead commercial discussions with galleries, dealers and artists, structure high-value deals, and take full ownership of a seller portfolio. Your success is measured by GMV growth, deal quality and the strength of long-term partnerships in a key European art market for Catawiki.

Job Responsibility

  • Own and grow a portfolio of strategic sellers in Germany and the wider DACH region, with clear medium and long term plans to reach GMV, and quality KPIs
  • Proactively identify and convert high-value prospects through market mapping, AI data-matching, outbound outreach (email sequencing and cold calling), in-person meetings and presence at fairs and events
  • Manage pipeline and forecasting: prioritise high-impact opportunities and report expected revenue and conversion
  • Structure and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including single-seller auctions and incentive models
  • Collaborate closely with Art Experts on sourcing, lot selection and sellers strategy.

Requirements

  • Fluent in German and English
  • 5+ years of experience in Sales and/or Account Management, in a seller-facing role with revenue targets and KPI ownership
  • Proven track record in growing revenue/GMV, acquiring strategic sellers and driving outbound business development (pipeline creation, conversion, structured onboarding)
  • Strong negotiation skills, comfortable closing and managing complex commercial deals with senior stakeholders
  • Strategic and autonomous, with excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Data-literate, able to translate performance metrics into concrete commercial actions
  • Clear, structured communicator, effective in cross-functional collaboration
  • Based in a major German city, able to work fully remote and willing to travel regularly within Europe
  • Comfortable using CRM tools (e.g. HubSpot), data tools (e.g. Looker Studio), Google Workspace and AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini).

Nice to have

  • Previous experience in the art market (gallery, dealer, auction house or art marketplace)
  • Fluency in a third language.

What we offer

  • €100 Catavoucher upon joining
  • €50 Catavoucher on each birthday
  • An extra day off each year to 'Pursue Your Passion'
  • Additional time off for significant work anniversaries (3, 5, 8, 10 years)
  • Extra leave for life’s big moments like marriage, engagements, or moving house.
