Sales Representative / Account Executive - Commercial Department - Freight Forwarding. Brook Street Recruitment is working on behalf of our Belfast client who are looking for a driven and commercially minded Sales Representative / Account Executive to join their growing Commercial Department. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who understands the Freight Forwarding industry and thrives in a target-driven environment.
Job Responsibility:
Proactively prospect, cold call, and qualify leads to build and maintain a strong sales pipeline
Manage the full sales cycle: from initial enquiry through pricing, negotiation with service providers, and closing bookings
Prepare and follow up on weekly/monthly quotes and tenders
Input costs and charges accurately into internal systems
Develop and manage strong relationships with new and existing clients to drive retention and repeat business
Focus on onboarding clients and building consistent weekly/bi-weekly/monthly shipment flow
Ensure a detailed and accurate handover to the Operations team once business is secured
Continuously identify opportunities to grow revenue and promote company services
Requirements:
Proven experience within the Freight Forwarding industry (essential)
Strong understanding of import/export processes, pricing structures, and service provider negotiations
Confident communicator with excellent relationship-building skills
Self-motivated, target-driven, and commercially aware
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
