Sales Representative / Account Executive - Commercial Department - Freight Forwarding. Are you an experienced Freight Forwarding professional with a passion for sales and building long-term client relationships? Brook Street Recruitment is working on behalf of our Belfast client who are looking for a driven and commercially minded Sales Representative / Account Executive to join their growing Commercial Department. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who understands the Freight Forwarding industry and thrives in a target-driven environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Proactively prospect, cold call, and qualify leads to build and maintain a strong sales pipeline
  • Manage the full sales cycle: from initial enquiry through pricing, negotiation with service providers, and closing bookings
  • Prepare and follow up on weekly/monthly quotes and tenders
  • Input costs and charges accurately into internal systems
  • Develop and manage strong relationships with new and existing clients to drive retention and repeat business
  • Focus on onboarding clients and building consistent weekly/bi-weekly/monthly shipment flow
  • Ensure a detailed and accurate handover to the Operations team once business is secured
  • Continuously identify opportunities to grow revenue and promote company services

Requirements:

  • Proven experience within the Freight Forwarding industry (essential)
  • Strong understanding of import/export processes, pricing structures, and service provider negotiations
  • Confident communicator with excellent relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and commercially aware
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
