We are seeking a motivated Physician Account Representative to develop and strengthen relationships with physicians, healthcare providers, and office staff throughout an assigned territory. In this field-based role, you will serve as the primary liaison between referring providers and our diagnostic imaging services, helping ensure patients have timely access to high-quality care. Success in this role requires strong relationship-building skills, a consultative sales approach, and the ability to effectively communicate clinical service offerings. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting providers, growing referral partnerships, and contributing to organizational growth.
Job Responsibility
Develop and maintain relationships with physicians, practice administrators, office managers, and clinical staff within an assigned territory
Grow referral volume through proactive prospecting, cold calling, networking, and regular in-person visits
Educate providers and office personnel on available diagnostic imaging services, scheduling processes, and clinical capabilities
Conduct presentations and educational sessions to increase awareness of service offerings
Manage territory activity, track sales performance, and execute strategic plans to achieve growth objectives
Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and payer dynamics to identify business opportunities
Partner with operations, scheduling, and customer service teams to ensure an exceptional experience for referring providers and their patients
Maintain accurate records of account activity and business development efforts using CRM tools
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
Two or more years of business development or sales experience
healthcare or medical sales experience is preferred but not required
Proven ability to develop and maintain long-term professional relationships
Experience with territory management, prospecting, and cold calling
Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed performance goals
Familiarity with healthcare environments, medical terminology, or diagnostic services is a plus
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory
