Job Description

The German Small & Medium Enterprise (SME) team in Madrid is part of the International Card Services organization. Our team is focused on acquiring, expanding, and retaining SME customers for American Express, targeting businesses in the German market, partnering with business owners in managing their finances, improve cash flow and stay in control of everyday expenses.

Job Responsibility

  • Drive new sales, targeting German Small & Medium Enterprise (SME) companies
  • Responsible for the complete end-to-end process: sell and implement a wide range of American Express Business payment solutions
  • Build and effectively manage your own sales pipeline
  • Prospecting for new customers through various lead channels and maximizing lead conversion
  • Identifying key decision makers and presenting the benefits and services of our American Express payment solutions
  • Manage your sales activities through the CRM tool (Salesforce)

Requirements

  • Bilingual level in German, plus fluency in English written and spoken
  • Ideally with a background having lived in Germany or worked for the German Market
  • Passion for negotiating and interacting with customers (previous Sales experience is a plus)
  • Highly motivated and willingness to assume accountability for generating new business
  • High learning agility and growth mindset
  • Self-driven and results oriented with a positive mindset
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently whilst also collaborating with team members
  • Strong interpersonal and listening skills
  • Winning attitude
  • Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the Spain is required
