The Sales & Marketing Manager will play a pivotal role in venue awareness, guest engagement, and revenue growth at the Petersen Events Center and Victory Heights Arena located at the University of Pittsburgh. This individual will lead the planning and execution of sales and marketing initiatives, creative content development, and sales efforts that drive private event and show premium revenue. The ideal candidate combines creativity and strategic thinking with a data-driven mindset and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Job Responsibility:
Identify strategies and opportunities for private event & show premium seating sales
Proactively solicit new business by, among other things, making sales calls and engaging in other client prospecting in order to increase the potential client database
Exceed monthly and yearly revenue targets set forth by management
Manage private event and show premium space inquiries, ensuring clear coordination with assigned event manager
Manage & track all premium ticket sales and payment reconciliation
Compile and analyze sales recaps, and departmental projection reports
Oversee client database for private event and show premium seating prospects and follow-up with clients periodically to assess future needs
Maintain an active role in local hospitality community and professional associations to continually expand client database.
Assist in content management of venue website
Create and design a wide variety of content for website, social media and other digital and print marketing materials utilizing adobe design and/or canva
Produce and schedule posts across media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) while maintaining brand integrity, monitoring engagement and responding to inquiries promptly.
Assist with development of email campaigns to promote events and premium offerings
Assist with on-site show event media as needed.
Conduct facility tours for prospective clients.
Perform other related duties, tasks, and responsibilities as required
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends Global policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees

Requirements:
Bachelors degree in a related area of study
2-3 years of related experience in sales & marketing
Basic photography/videography skills and familiarity with editing software (Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar)
Strong understanding of event and hospitality sales strategies.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Adaptable to change and evolving sales strategies.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Creative thinker who is eager to learn and bring new ideas
Willingness to be proactive in the sales process
