Valmet is looking for an experienced Sales Manager to join our team in the Netherlands. Job Responsibility:
Lead and develop the Automation System solution business in the Process Industry market, focusing on DCS and process automation solutions
Drive value-added sales by understanding customer needs and differentiating Valmet’s offering through Performance Solutions
Support the Head of EPS in defining and implementing growth strategies and action plans
Manage direct and indirect sales processes to meet or exceed targets
Identify new customers and business opportunities in EPS markets such as P2X, LNG and Oil & Gas
Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and competitor analysis for assigned accounts
Analyze technical inquiries, define scope, and collaborate with product teams to deliver tailored solutions
Work closely with the Service organization to ensure customer satisfaction and service business growth
Stay informed about new product launches and competitor activities
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers through regular visits across the Netherlands, Germany, and Benelux
Ensure compliance with all HSE, legal, and company policies
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 5 years in solution sales for process industries (e.g., P2X, LNG, Oil & Gas)
Proven track record in automation sales development (DCS and/or process solutions)
Strong technical foundation in industrial automation
Ability to manage complex negotiations, including legal and administrative aspects
Strategic sales planning and execution skills
Excellent presentation and negotiation abilities across multiple organizational levels
Fluency in English and Dutch (mandatory)
Availability to travel frequently within the Netherlands and the rest of Benelux and occasionally to Germany
Nice to have:
Knowledge of DCS architecture and process automation systems
German language skills
