Drive sales growth within assigned corporate or strategic accounts by working closely with the regional or territory sales team
Utilize reporting insights and customer data to develop business forecasts, identify new growth opportunities, review contract performance against targets, and implement sales plans to secure contracted revenue
Build and maintain strong, constructive relationships within target accounts to gain access to key decision-makers, establish trusted partnerships, and increase preferred supplier or strategic partner status
Take a consultative selling approach to understand and frame customer procurement challenges, clearly demonstrating the long-term value created through a partnership-based relationship
Facilitate regular business reviews and strategic meetings with customers to align on business objectives, uncover underlying needs, and ensure cross-functional engagement for successful contract execution, with close follow-up at all levels
Provide ongoing analysis and reporting on sales targets, key performance metrics, customer activity, market trends, and competitive landscape
Develop and maintain strong internal and external networks, fostering collaboration and teamwork within a best-practice sales environment
Continuously build knowledge of products, technologies, sales methodologies, and value-added services to support effective customer engagement
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years’ experience of Corporate Account Management or Strategic Business Development and proven track record in Sales, preferably in industrial business
Relevant technical experience / qualification and / or sales experience within a technical HSL high service level B2B environment
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and on own initiative
Results-driven with a focus on profit margin
Commercial awareness, particularly around cost of acquisition / profitability and procurement trends
E-commerce knowledge / experience
Strong sales and negotiation skills
Account management experience
Store and supply agreement / contract experience
The ability to cross reference products using specifications and technical parameters
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Strong planning, prioritization, and time management skills
IT literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and experience of using a CRM
Customer-focused attitude (internal and / or external)
Demonstrate the ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships at all levels
