Our Clients Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry and is now looking for a Sales Manager to maximize sales and margin for all assigned Optical Communications’ products to the Enterprise Network market. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Job Responsibility:
Maximize sales and margin for all assigned Optical Communications’ products to the Enterprise Network market, primarily in the US Federal business in Germany, but also for other accounts in the allocated region, in both LAN- and datacenter applications
Generate leads and identify new opportunities, positioning and specifying solutions
Work closely with the US Federal sales team and cooperate with other sales colleagues in EMEA
Develop and maintain relationships with end users, distribution channels and installers
Develop and implement an account and territory plan and adjust sales techniques according to interactions and results in the field
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
3 or more years of sales experience preferably in the same industry, with proven success rate at levels above sales quota
Strong technical / product / industry knowledge in Optical Communications’ and optical fiber
Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving and presentation skills
Very good German and English language skills
High flexibility and willingness for 3 to 4 days of business travel per week
