The Sales Manager will lead the sales community, inspire teams, manage strategies for increased profitability, organize resources for optimal team performance, and foster trust with enterprise-level customers by deeply understanding their business contexts and providing tailored HPE solutions. This role involves coaching, recruiting, developing talent, and overseeing the sales process to deliver superior outcomes.
Job Responsibility:
Leads the sales community to success
communicates direction to the team in line with the company’s vision and strategy
inspires the team to meet and exceed goals
manages the HPE sales motion strategy towards growth and increased profitability
recruits, develops, and retains best in class talent
orchestrates major enterprise-level customer engagements
engages with key customer executives (CEO, CFO, COO) to understand customer business context and build trust
creates early-stage opportunities through executive relationships
coaches teams to devise strategies to win deals
manages escalations to solutions
establishes sales methodology and manages the sales process
provides timely and accurate sales forecasts
ensures structured customer feedback and deal analysis
Requirements:
University or Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience
typically 10-12+ years’ experience in sales, including success in achieving progressively higher quota and other sales goals
5+ years’ experience managing high performing sales teams preferred
demonstrated excellence in project management
strategic leadership skills including deploying purpose and vision, strategic thinking, leadership through change, inspiration, and team building
customer intimacy skills such as building long-term customer/partner relationships, HPE portfolio knowledge, IT industry acumen, and vertical/industry knowledge
managing the business skills including business analysis, sales methodology, driving results, and business and financial acumen
