Making a difference in an international team, well positioned in an experienced local sales team and with colleagues from basically all nationalities, functions and levels within Aptiv - we are now looking for an Account Manager to work with our customers, global German OEM to our EDS (Electrical Distribution System) group positioned in Munich/Stuttgart or Neumarkt i. der Oberpfalz. You will be part of an existing sales team dedicated towards CV customer and with responsibility your own project. Within the project you work with all stakeholders internally as well externally (Customer).
Job Responsibility:
First point of customer contact
Establish proactive communication and relationship with the OEMs and Tier#1s to promote confidence and trust
Ensure alignment with other Aptiv Product Lines when responding to customer issues
Ensure APTIV maximizes its content per vehicle by supporting robust multi-product battle plans that results in profitable and sustainable growth
As needed enable portfolio decision making (e.g. price and ‘givebacks’) across our EDS portfolio through an objective data-driven process
Lead price negotiations and price agreements
Ensure customer demands are managed through the appropriate internal processes, EOS
Lead customer RFQ activity, ensuring responses are made in a timely manner (e.g. Flow 3)
Organize and coordinate APTIV functional representatives on customer visits as required
Is accountable for customer profitability and revenue growth in the EDS product line. This includes quality , delivery and cost performance levels on customer VOC metrics
Plan and execute Account reviews within the cross functional management team
Support and monitor project launches and transfers with its associated costs and prices development from Business award until EoL and After-Market support
Drive cross functional activities to improve the cost structure and define opportunities to enhance the price quality with every opportunity.(MI/ECM)
Prepare and lead the customer strategy meetings
Support the Business Planning and manage this in the SPS
Requirements:
Degree in economics or industrial engineering
Strong financial background
German automotive experience and /or experience with Agricultural clients
Clear verbal communication and negotiation skills
Ability to interpret technical drawings, preferrably wiring-harnesses (Kabelbaum)
Strong teamwork approach
Flexible and proven ability to work under pressure
Very good negotiation skills
Good execution capability
Effective presentation skills
Strong German and English language skills – spoken and written
