The role of this position is to establish strategic partnerships and drive high-level business collaboration with taxi companies nationwide, all against the backdrop of a socially significant vision to realize a prosperous society where everyone can move comfortably by providing the best mobility experience to residents of Japan and inbound visitors, extending beyond mere business expansion.
Job Responsibility:
Strategic Partnership Acquisition & Supply Growth: Lead acquisition sales and secure strategic partnership contracts with taxi companies in urban and regional areas to maximize vehicle supply and realize an abundant taxi supply base
Partner Success & Digital Transformation (DX): Drive the Digital Transformation (DX) of partner companies, pursuing their sustained business success and enhanced profitability, while evolving the driver's profession into an efficient and high-income business
Cross-functional Execution & Process Transformation: Serve as an execution-focused leader by transforming diverse market needs into smooth and efficient partnership workflows, and acting as a bridge for strategic collaboration with Sales Operations, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to drive supply growth
Relationship Management & Market Strategy: Monitor market trends in assigned territories to develop and execute data-driven action plans for accelerated growth, and foster strong, long-term relationships with partner fleets and drivers to ensure continuous engagement with the Uber platform
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in B2B Sales, Business Development, or high-level Account Management with a proven track record in securing complex contracts
Practical experience in driving DX for traditional industries or supporting partners' increased profitability and efficiency
Ability to monitor market trends and utilize data to develop and execute strategic action plans
Experience in cross-functional collaboration, driving projects and achieving results by involving multiple departments such as Sales Operations and Marketing
Japanese: Native level (for building trust with nationwide partner companies and contract negotiation)
English: Conversational level
Nice to have:
Practical experience in mobility, transportation, or an industry with a traditional Japanese business structure
Experience in formulating business strategies or providing recommendations to partner companies' executive management from a KPI management perspective
