As part of the sales team, you will build relationships and drive revenue across media agencies in Japan, in particular with domestic Japanese media agencies. We are a dynamic, creative and passionate team, delivering market-leading creative and video streaming technology to tier one media agencies and brands. Your mission will be to get our product in front of many key agency decision-makers and play a key role in helping the team reach revenue targets.
Job Responsibility
Own and grow relationships with domestic Japanese agencies, trading desks, and brand clients. Building trust through consistent, high-quality engagement rooted in understanding of Japanese business culture
Lead regular meetings, QBRs, and business reviews with agency partners, ensuring satisfaction and surfacing growth opportunities in Japanese
Translate SeenThis technology into compelling proposals tailored to the priorities and workflows of Japanese agency media teams
Support end-to-end campaign delivery — from planning and creative briefing through execution and optimization - aligned with client KPIs
Analyze campaign performance data, produce insightful reports in Japanese, and use findings to drive upsell, cross-sell, and renewals
Serve as the primary Japanese-language point of contact for domestic clients, bridging local agency needs with SeenThis's global product and ops teams
Coordinate across internal teams (campaign management, creative, tech support) to deliver seamless service to Japanese partners
Stay ahead of Japan-specific digital media trends and proactively share relevant insights and recommendations with clients
Requirements
Native Japanese speaker
working proficiency in English is a plus
5–10 years minimum in digital advertising sales or account management, ideally within a Japanese agency, media company, or ad tech platform
Hands-on experience working with and selling into domestic Japanese advertising agencies (holdcos and independents)
Proven track record in proposal-based sales to agency and brand clients in Japan
Practical experience in campaign performance analysis and advertising effectiveness measurement
Comfortable navigating complex internal and external stakeholder environments
Nice to have
Direct experience at a Japanese advertising agency, media agency, or platform provider (e.g. Dentsu, Hakuhodo, ADK, CyberAgent or Tokyu Agency or similar)
Strong existing relationships across domestic agency buying and planning teams
Experience in programmatic, display, or video advertising sales in the Japanese market
Familiarity with Japanese-market data and analytics tools (Google Analytics, DMP/DSP dashboards, etc.)
An outgoing, proactive personality - someone who naturally builds trust with Japanese clients across seniority levels
