As a member of Baxter’s sales team, you’ll be aligned to one of our global business units and be responsible for new business, developing existing accounts and ensuring patient-centric approach in all your dealings. You’ll work within an assigned geographic area or with specific accounts to achieve or exceed personal and business goals, all in pursuit of our mission to save and sustain lives. In the sales role, you’ll have the opportunity to provide input on new markets and products, manage customer concerns, and collaborate with other teams. As a Strategic Sales Manager you will be focused on advancing our Vision Screening & Diagnostics market presence within the Baxter - Front Line Care business unit. This individual will be focused specifically on Vision products, including RetinaVue & Spot Vision Screener and must display an entrepreneurial spirit. This individual will be tasked to achieve and assigned sales goals by identifying, developing, and closing profitable business opportunities with new and existing payers, mobile, emerging markets, and strategic accounts within the Northeast US region. This role includes identifying new markets potential, negotiating, and closing opportunities, while delivering clinical and operational outcomes. Collaboration in a matrixed sales organization, leveraging cross business unit communication and resources.
Job Responsibility:
Demonstrate strong executive presence, clearly communicating the broader value proposition across the Vision Screening & Diagnostics portfolio
Drive revenue performance across assigned accounts and markets through effective sales execution
Develop and implement sales strategies that deliver comprehensive, customer‑focused solutions
Build and maintain executive‑level relationships with key decision makers and influencers within each strategic account and market
Lead the development of account plans and overall strategy, collaborating with internal stakeholders and analyzing customer needs/data to optimize satisfaction and business outcomes
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree preferred with 5+ years in strategic or corporate sales, ideally in medical sales
Experience with contract development/negotiation, C‑suite and strategic/national account relationships, and solution‑based selling
Familiarity with Payors, Value‑Based Care, and technical healthcare sales (especially EMR systems)
Strong command of sales forecasting and sales enablement tools (Salesforce.com, MS Teams, PowerBI)
Exceptional analytical, communication, negotiation, organizational, problem‑solving, technical, facilitation, and presentation skills, with proven strategic thinking
Demonstrated ability to drive cross‑functional change, build and execute strategy, and consistently deliver top‑tier sales results
