Job Description

Quadient Parcel Lockers Division has a new career opportunity for an accomplished Sales Manager to build and lead a new team of Location Specialists who will be dedicated to finding and securing host locations for new Quadient Lockers installations. You would be helping create a brand-new business for Quadient, working within an exciting, fast-paced work environment, allowing you to make an immediate impact on our company. We are looking for someone who is positive, creative and above all else, self-starting. You will be an experienced Sales Leader from the parcels or retail industry, highly tech-savvy and you understand the challenges facing the eCommerce industry today. This is a hybrid based role, so you will ideally be near to Milan or elsewhere in Northern Italy with regular visits to the Milan offices. There will be national travel involved.

Job Responsibility

  • Recruit, lead and develop a growing team of high performing, field based Location Specialists who will search out and secure potential parcel locker installation locations and building strategic relationships with the organisations that are responsible for those spaces – the ‘Hosts’
  • Drive the delivery of profitable growth, exceeding site acquisition targets, whilst providing regular reporting on progress and ensuring the team are operating within business standards and policies
  • Take ownership of KPI’s, career development initiatives, performance plans, reward & recognition and annual appraisal process for each member of the Site Acquisition Team, promoting a culture that reflects Quadient values and encourages high reward and recognition of high performance
  • Oversee the relationship with mail carriers and other partners, in conjunction with the business development team and own the annual account development plan for each carrier
  • Drive lead generation amongst local, regional and national retail businesses ensuring that contracts are within agreed negotiating parameters and all fees and preparatory works costs remain within authorised and budgeted amounts
  • Ensure that high levels of customer satisfaction are always maintained in line with customer satisfaction targets and net promoter targets
  • Provide strong sales management/leadership with regular face to face contact with prospects, customers, partners and sales teams
  • Set targets for each site acquisition manager, hold accountability for their performance, and establish and administer the reward system on successful acquisitions and go-live
  • Ensure site acquisition managers expedite host, site, and relationship management handovers, ensuring surveys and installations are conducted without delay, and work with group hosts to resolve any identified issues in conjunction with the deployment team and Senior Partnership Manager
  • Manage resources within budget guidelines according to current laws and regulations
  • Create a great Customer Satisfaction that promotes new leads and work with the Business Development Manager to deliver new opportunities
  • Perform other duties as required to support the success of Lockers by Quadient

  • Experience gained within a Sales Leadership role ideally from site acquisition within the parcels delivery sector, with the ability to influence, guide and coach a new business oriented sales team with various levels of seniority and experience
  • A track record of performance managing a target driven sales or site acquisition teams
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide actionable insights, generate relevant leads, build collaborative relationships with a wide range of both internal and external stakeholders and multiple third parties across a range of functions, and manage relationships and commercial processes through to agreed contracts
  • Experience with managing cost budgets for sales or site acquisition teams, including establishing and administering reward or bonus systems
  • Proven ability to articulate the unique selling points of products and services
  • Knowledge of the retail or public sector market
