Job Description

As a member of Baxter’s sales team, you’ll be aligned to one of our global business units and be responsible for new business, developing existing accounts and ensuring patient-centric approach in all your dealings. You’ll work within an assigned geographic area or with specific accounts to achieve or exceed personal and business goals, all in pursuit of our mission to save and sustain lives. In the sales role, you’ll have the opportunity to provide input on new markets and products, manage customer concerns, and collaborate with other teams.

Job Responsibility

  • Successful development and execution of comprehensive sales strategies and programs to increase Baxter’s brand awareness and achieve revenue, profitability, and market share growth objectives
  • To provide, support and offer product demonstration, clinical know-how and applications on various fields of operations (with emphasis on operating lights, pendants, and new video management) to business partners and end-users
  • Responsible for product demonstrations, sales training support as well as Clinical Seminars/Symposium organization and execution
  • Instruct clinical staff in the use of the products to ensure adherence with product protocols and safety standards
  • Understand and articulate in detail the functionalities/clinical benefits to patients and care givers of the products while offering an economic benefit to the hospital.
  • Develop expert knowledge of customer/market requirements, clinical trends, and competitor activities through market research, close contact with key clinical societies and recognized opinion leaders in the segment.
  • Manage the Key Hospital accounts and is the go-to person as the Equipment Planner Management
  • Monitor and quantitatively measure effectiveness of marketing programs with the marketing team and modify as needed to achieve objectives.
  • Evangelize the Baxter value proposition to the specific market segment and build brand equity.
  • Develop and execute product, pricing, and promotional strategies that maximize growth potential.
  • Collaborate with regional partners and marketing teams to research and quantify new business opportunities.
  • Partner cross functionally with product managers, communications to develop product messaging and positioning.
  • Assist with building tenders based upon Baxter product specifications
  • Participation in shows and conferences with powerful positioning and demo of our products

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree from an accredited university
  • Expert understanding of the business environment
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in marketing and sales roles. Health care industry experience preferred.
  • Track record of achievement of sales and market growth through leadership and teamwork
  • Experience in surgical product portfolio is strongly preferred
  • Strong Product/Project Management experience
  • Experience in managing a small sales team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build excellent personal relationships at all levels and work collaboratively with others in a team environment, both internally and externally
  • Distributor Management experience is a must.
  • 3-5 years’ experience of managing a team. A Proven team leader.
  • Fluency in verbal and written communication in English
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Broad-based knowledge in business management, sales and marketing.
  • Key experiences required include working knowledge of the key items on the P/L and Balance Sheet, knowledge of customers, markets and competitors, branding, product line management, new product launch, product improvement and execution of a marketing plan for a major product category
  • Cultural experience: Ability to work with MNCs and culturally adapt as necessary
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% to 50% domestically and internationally
