The Sales Manager - Golf/Park will support the catering functions with building operations, culinary department, and catering department along with the sales team charged with revenue growth. This role will network for new sales opportunities, conduct sales blitz and other marketing efforts to support sales growth. The role will also book events for the location.
Job Responsibility:
Responsible for marketing account to professional meeting planners for meetings, conferences, training events, and seminars
Conducts telephone solicitation calls to generate new business and contacts
Determines and secures accurate meeting space for groups
Greets and services all clients/groups to ensure satisfaction
Follows up with all clients through phone calls, letters, and site tours to secure contracts and ensure customer happiness
Inputs data to generate contracts, update client files, and enter information into sales software
Participates in special projects as needed
Participates in Professional Membership Organizations to meet new prospects and remain updated with industry information and trends
Communicates and collaborates with other departments to provide quality services for all groups
Assists Sales and Marketing Leadership in managing budget activity and compiling reports for the period end
Coordinates activity of telemarketing activities
Attends weekly meetings for aging/billing, business review, and sales meetings
Follows Aramark policies and procedures and safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years previous experience in Hotel Sales and Marketing or related field
Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in sales, marketing or related field
Possesses strong interpersonal skills, the ability to maintain composure, and the ability to make quick decisions
Requires effective written and verbal communication skills
