This position will report to the managing director of Exact Sciences France. The Sales Manager will be directly responsible for all sales related activities in France: including sales team management, sales force effectiveness, strategy development and tactical execution, close communication and cooperation with Marketing Manager and other cross functional functions and inter-departmental stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of Oncology related Sales and Marketing experience in Oncology Pharma products and/or molecular diagnostics/IVD, combined with a proven direct involvement and track record in driving performance and delivering results in a timely and efficient manner.
Job Responsibility:
Provide effective leadership and strategic direction for the Sales Team
Coordinate all Sales activities in France to meet quarterly, and annual sales and revenue targets
Conduct continuous assessment of the local business opportunities, establish key goals in prioritized territories, and support the development of specific business plans
Work closely with Marketing Manager to keep abreast of market and environmental changes by gathering competitive intelligence and provide input to the overall Country plans
Lead the Sales Team through target-setting, sales force effectiveness and ongoing performance management
Responsible for hiring
development and retention of new sales personnel as needed
Ensure effective teamwork, and ongoing collaboration with Headquarter colleagues, consultants, and vendors to support business objectives

Work with Marketing Manager to optimize KOL management and Peer to Peer education strategy
Support the execution of the business plan through a strong teamwork with the Exact Sciences team by: Working with the international training lead to implement local sales training programs
Collaborating with key functions to execute the Commercial Excellence Program (effective usage of marketing tools, key account management and sales planning)
Maintain and manage relationships with private healthcare providers
Develop National and Regional sales strategies to address the specific needs of a territory or devolved nation

Requirements:
Post-Secondary degree and relevant business experience preferred
Significant pharmaceutical/diagnostics sales team management experience, ideally within oncology or specialty business
Strong experience and track record in selling with a strong record of success promoting complex products in medical oncology and/or diagnostics
Marketing or managed care experience is a plus
Self-motivated
Strong business acumen
Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
Experienced and motivated coach – develop a team of top performing sales experts
High degree of flexibility to allow efficient coaching and KOL management
Life science degree/clinical experience are a plus
Clean FR driver’s license
Ability to travel at minimum 50% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel
Location: France within commuting distance to the Paris office
