We are currently looking for a Sales Manager (General Trade & Wholesaler Channel) for a premier FMCG powerhouse, recognized for representing iconic food brands alongside market-leading cooking sauces and pastes. This is a commercial role carved out specifically to drive and expand the brand's General Trade (GT) footprint nationwide, and requires your urgent attention.
Job Responsibility
Take full ownership of the General Trade (GT) business unit, focusing heavily on driving volume growth with existing wholesalers and distributors while aggressively identifying and opening new markets
Lead, mentor, and track the daily performance of a field-facing sales executive team to ensure territory coverage and volume targets are maximized
Conduct regular regional field visits to key wholesalers and distributors across West Malaysia to strengthen long-term commercial partnerships
Formulate robust sales forecasts, oversee pipeline management, and conduct data-driven sales reviews for presentation to senior management and the Managing Director
Collaborate closely with a newly designated Trade Marketing counterpart to align on-ground commercial executions with overall brand strategies
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of FMCG sales experience, with a focus towards distributor and wholesaler management, as well as traditional/general trade
Candidates coming from companies specializing in fast-moving food product lines are desirable
Meticulous analytical and corporate presentation skills
capable of converting raw sales data into structured forecasting reports and strategic growth plans
